Dermalogica – Products Worth Investing In!
November 14, 2012 in Events
Hey, what’s with the grainy pictures? Looks like someone had her camera on the wrong setting. Looks like someone was having too good of a time to realize. But hey, no judgement, please – someone must have been exhausted from all the events she attended that week. It’s a good kind of exhaustion, the only negative side effect being possibly grainy pictures.
IN ANY CASE. I have to tell you about these Dermalogica products.
I don’t often review beauty products on my blog because there’s often something “off” about them. They’re either made with some terribly unhealthy ingredients – I’ll take my lipstick with the lead on the side, thanks – or they over-promise and under-deliver.
A blog is meant to be candid. I might be in marketing communications in “real life”, but when I post on my blog I’m not trying to sell, I’m purely a consumer like the rest of you. I won’t post a positive review of a product I don’t believe in!
Come in, Dermalogica. Not only are these products healthy and based on the latest scientific skin improvement studies, but they also work. My favorite? The new SkinPerfect Primer – it promises to “smooth away fine lines, firm, brighten, prime for flawless skin and prep for make-up application”, and it keeps its promise. When I use this primer before my foundation and make-up routine, I swear, my pores disappear. It’s like Photoshop without Photoshop. Amazing.
Another reason I like Dermalogica? The company helps women entrepreneurs in third world countries by offering them small loans for community-relvant businesses. These loans are eventually paid back, and allow the ladies to be self-sufficient! An amazing initiative.
Here’s to simultaneously discovering wonderful new products and taking part in social corporate responsibility!

Oh thank you!!! My bad. I’ve had so much to do lately that I’ve been doing it all too quickly! I appreciate the heads up – already made the necessary changes!
