“Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf Goodman’s” at Cinéma du Parc – WIN TICKETS!

June 11, 2013 in With Love from Me to You

The iconic store everyone wishes they could afford is the subject of a popular book titled “Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf Goodman’s”. And now? It’s also a movie that opens at Montreal’s Cinéma du Parc on Friday June 14th.

Have you always wanted to peer into the lives of the 0.000001% and wondered about the marketing of high-end department stores and the most exclusive fashion? This movie’s for you. Peppered with designer interviews (including favourites Diane Von Furstenberg, the Olsen Twins, Jason Wu and Karl Lagerfeld) and the makings of the epic window displays, it gives the viewer a sneak peek into a world one living in Montreal can only imagine. The movie is a little flaky at times, but it’s interesting and often entertaining – kind of like the fashion world. All in all? It’s worth seeing! And you’ll find out how much a personal shopper earns in commission, per year… It’s impressive.

Want to check it out? You can enter to win tickets by liking my Facebook page and sending me a message saying “Bergdorf Goodman”. The winner will be selected using a random number generator.

What to do During Montreal Grand Prix 2013!

June 6, 2013 in Events, Nightlife

It may not look like summer, but Montreal’s definitely abuzz with all kind of events that remind us of warm weather and terrasse openings. Being away for a couple of weeks, I’ve unfortunately missed a bunch of events including the end of Yelloweek at Flyjin, the Ciroc vodka event at Buonanotte and Renata Morales’ 8-days-of-art-and-parties media launch at the uber cool PHI Center. And that’s why I plan on hitting it hard this weekend. Come party it up for Montreal’s Grand Prix 2013, and make the sun come out due to a serious case of FOMO.

THURSDAY JUNE 6th, 2013

Launch your Grand Prix weekend with Suwu x Notable.ca’s terrasse opening, Auberge St-Gabriel’s La Grande Dame 5à7 (that will likely last muuuch later), and the first night of Flyjin’s official opening weekend. Expect fun music and good looking people. Read the rest of this entry →
